Volkswagen Unveils New Vehicle Plan for 2026, Set to Launch Four New Models

Recently, Volkswagen unveiled its 2026 new vehicle lineup, with the ID UNYX 08 set to launch in the first quarter. The  ID UNYX 07 and the 2026 model year  ID UNYX 06 will debut in the second quarter, while a new sedan is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter.

The ID UNYX 07 underwent Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification in October 2025. Reportedly, this new model is the first product built on an all-new electronic and electrical architecture, positioned as a midsize pure-electric sedan. Its dimensions measure 4853/1852/1566mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 2826mm, making it significantly larger than the ID UNYX 06.

Volkswagen ID UNYX 07

The exterior design retains the distinctive family styling, featuring an aggressive lower bumper and sharp headlights that exude a strong sporty vibe. Customers can choose between 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the flat-bottom steering wheel is paired with interior details that differ from the ID UNYX 06, though the integrated seats and large central touchscreen remain unchanged.

Volkswagen ID UNYX 08

The Volkswagen ID UNYX 08 was submitted for approval to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November 2025. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized pure-electric SUV, the vehicle measures 5000/1954/1672 (1688) mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm. It features a five-seat layout.

Visually, it carries forward the design language of the Volkswagen ID.EVO concept car. The elongated, upward-sweeping headlights offer a fresh aesthetic with enhanced visual recognition. The profile features dual character lines, frameless doors, multi-spoke alloy wheels, and flush-mounted door handles.

The Volkswagen ID UNYX 08 will debut Level 2++ advanced driver assistance, enabling end-to-end parking functionality, an AI assistant powered by large language models, and over-the-air vehicle updates.

Powered by Volkswagen's EDF drive motor with a maximum output of 230 kilowatts, the vehicle features CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries rated at 82.368 kWh and 95.04 kWh. These configurations deliver ranges of 630 km, 700 km, and 730 km respectively, and support 800V ultra-fast charging technology.
